...
It's time to submit to the carnival. What to submit? I know people are sick of turkey and they are probably still too bloated to think about red meat. Hmmm. Summer dishes are out of the question so what should I do? I have a stack of recipe cards in front of me, but nothing really shines. I could do my award winning chili recipe, but we have had a few of those already. One was even called anal destruction. Nope. I don't think I want to mess with that. Oh wait. I seem to have found it.
I can not take credit for this recipe although it is not in the same form as was given to me. I think the person who thought this up might like it that way. It is a recipe open to interpretation given it was conceived through experimentation. I thank Gus for giving me the original version. He is one heck of a programmer and not bad in the kitchen either. Without further adoo I give you my interpretation of Augiesala.
Augiesala
3 chicken breasts cut into pieces
1/2 yellow onion diced
1 yellow pepper julienned
1/2 can tomato soup
1pkg angel hair pasta (herb flavor)
1 can chopped tomatoes & chilies
3 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
1 serrano pepper, seeded and chopped
2 tbsp madras curry powder
1 tbsp garam masala
1 can of beer
Cook chicken in dutch oven with 1/4 can of beer. Add curry and peppers, onion, and tomato/chilies. Simmer and let thicken. Add soup and the remainder of the beer to thin. Cook pasta according to directions and add to pan. Toss and serve with a fire extinguisher and lots of good beer.
