...
I've lost the ability to post while at work, or so it appears. We had a good weekend once again. The girls continue to astonish me with their progress. They point out things I would never see and tell us all about them. Well maybe not. On the way to church this week Kristin saw a wad of balloons over a hundred yards away and had to tell us about them. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! My children love balloons.

Yes we went to church this weekend. That makes it two trips in three weeks. The people in the nursery have to hate us by now. This time we left the sanctuary to find K-babe on someone's lap while Meg's was in the window with another handler. Uh oh. It seems Kristin wanted to see a clock, but the clock in the nursery just wouldn't do. She needed to be away from the other kids so she could see the clock in the hallway. I don't think our tithes covered that cost. They did sit with us in the sanctuary long enough to see Grandpa sing one song with the chancel choir. They really loved the music. Hopefully they will be following in their mom's foot steps and not in mine. Sure I can sing a tune and repeat any tone presented to me, but I want them to be able to read music like I can't. The notes look completely foreign to me.

Saturday night the grandparents came over to sit for us. We had planned to go to a local festival but they had signs up about no outside alcoholic beverages. Ok then. We left there and went to another near by park so we could eat fried chicken and drink some wine. The wine was School House White from St. James and we chased it down with sausage and cheese. Yes, we are both of German heritage. I wanted mustard to go with it but I was denied. Super Wife must not be as German as I thought!

I spent the rest of the weekend chasing the gout out of my knee and into my foot. I thought I was over the major hump until it went after my foot. I guess this is what I'll have to deal with for the rest of my life. Bloody gout.

We continue to acclimate in the new work environment. The clean room is now a place of loud classical music coming from one person's head phones. I thought it might be annoying, but it really breaks up the silence so I haven't said anything. I'm sure my Iron Maiden leaks out too from time to time. I really need to get more Christmas music into the new place. I love the stuff. I can listen to Christmas music year round if need be. What can I say? I love the uplifting classical stuff. Give me the old stand by music and I'm set. Perry Como or Johnny Mathis will do the trick every time.
